Job Description

Job Title: NEW BUSINESS CLERK
Location: Harare
Department section:: DLA Operations
Incumbent Superior 2*° Level: Underwriter
Incumbent Superior 1* Level: New Business Supervisor
Subordinates: None

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
• Accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in digital systems from various source documents.
• Verifying data for accuracy, identifying discrepancies,
• Generating reports, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Ensure databases are up-to-date and organized to support business operations.
• Checking completed work for errors, ensuring data integrity, and conducting validations to correct discrepancies.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications/ Training/ Competences
• First degree in Risk and Insurance.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, word and excel
• Experience in the funeral assurance industry is an added advantage

Skills
• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Ability and willingness to learn Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good time management and ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Able to undertake out-of-hours and weekend working.
