Job Description

Who We Are?
With over 20 years of experience, PSI/Zimbabwe now registered as Population Solutions for Health is looking for candidates who hold the requisite qualifications and experience to apply for the position below.

Job exists to support the day-to-day coordination of COVID-19 engagements and support to the MOHCC national and sub national structures. The Incumbent will work with the PSH Evidence, Marketing and field facing teams on both INTEGRATE and Last Mile to enable timely analytics and availing of resources to PHEs to respond to the COVID-19 outbreaks in districts

Duties and Responsibilities

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities;
• Supports the PHEs to develop monthly, quarterly, and annual COVID-19 support
workplans.
• Supports the tracking of COVID-19 support workplan implementation.
• Represents PSH in the National, Provincial and District COVID-19 response review
meetings.
• Facilitates the development of monthly and quarterly budgets to fund supported COVID-19
response activities for the MOHCC sub national structures.
• Facilitates the timely funds requests and disbursements to support sub national COVID-19
response activities and tracking of COVID-19 response expenditures.
• Supports the PSH field teams with day-to-day coordination of Sub National COVID-19
response support.
• Leads the design and implementation of new and ongoing COVID-19 response initiatives
through regular performance and process improvement with MOHCC and other partners.
• Works with the MOHCC and PSH QA teams to develop and deploy QA and CQI
approaches for COVID-19 vaccination delivery and COVID-19 case management at
facility and community levels.
• Works with the PSH and MoHCC national and sub national structures to identify
operational and programmatic efficiencies to reduce the unit costs of COVID-19 response
interventions.
• Leads the collaboration of COVID-19 response interventions funded by the same donor or
other donors through lock step adoption and implementation of interventions .
• Supports the review and deployment of paper and electronic based COVID-19 response
tracking tools for facility and community levels.
• Provides and document technical support to the national and sub national teams to ensure
timely reporting of COVID-19 response interventions.
• Supports the PSH and MOHCC Sub national structures to conduct regular program review
meetings for program improvement.
• Facilitates the development of learning products for dissemination at sub national and
national to enable cross learning and adoption of best practices.
• Ensures responsiveness to donors, MoHCC and stakeholders on programmatic matters.
• Represents PSH in the National COVID-19 response pillars, and sub national taskforces.

Qualifications and Experience

What Are We Looking For?
• Medical, Nursing or Public Health degree
• Master’s in Public Health, Epidemiology, or any relevant degree.
• Experience in management of COVID-19 or other epidemics in a resource limited setting.
• COVID-19 response experience strongly desired.
• Deep knowledge and insight into the MoHCC operations, including experience working
within MoHCC
• Clean class 4 drivers’ licence, at least 2 years old.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of time.
