Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Vehicle Steering Racks and Steering Box Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing steering racks and steering boxes for various types of vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose faults in steering racks and steering boxes
- Repair and replace steering racks and steering boxes as needed
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating steering components
- Use specialized tools and equipment to test and repair steering systems
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers
- Work efficiently and effectively to meet productivity and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a motor vehicle technician, specializing in steering racks and steering boxes
- Strong knowledge of steering systems and components
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license a must
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma in motor vehicle repair
- Manufacturer-specific training or certification (e.g. Toyota, Ford, Nissan etc.)
- Experience with electronic steering systems
