Job Description
CNFA is currently seeking qualified MEL Lead candidates for the upcoming Zimbabwe Global Development Alliance Activity for the agriculture sector. The MEL Lead is responsible for the development of Performance Management Plan (PMP), quarterly/annual impact reporting, and project-level impact monitoring and evaluation. In addition, the MEL Lead will design and train project staff in the use of program reporting forms, required supporting documentation, and methodologies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and manage the Activity’s M&E system and processes;
Monitor and report on indicator results and collaborate with the Activity senior management on reporting to USAID;
Lead performance indicator target setting and review exercises in collaboration with the Activity management;
Manage the collection and analysis of contextual data providing technical staff with high quality relevant timely information to refine implementation approaches and intervention design as well as ensuring that they are regularly briefed when significant changes are detected;
Lead periodic review of monitoring data to ensure that they meet the USAID data quality standard for validity, integrity, precision, reliability, and timeliness;
Build staff capacity through training and mentorship in data collection processes team familiarity with M&E protocols;
Collaborate with technical staff to understand and integrate private sector partner traceability requirements and software into the program’s M&E systems;
Ensure compliance with all USAID, CNFA, and private sector entity reporting requirements
Complete other duties as necessary and assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a relevant competency area, including statistics, international development, economics, or other; Master’s degree preferred;
Minimum of 6 years’ experience working on monitoring and evaluation teams for donor-funded projects; USAID-funded program(s) experience is highly desirable;
Experience developing monitoring and evaluation systems, especially for agriculture and markets development programs;
Ability to write concise and clear reports;
Strong communication skills (writing and reading);
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, willingness to innovate and ability to think systematically;
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with wide range of stakeholders both verbally and in writing;
Proven experience in managing multiple and competing tasks while maintaining quality of deliverables within deadlines.
