Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mine Engineer to join our dedicated team and contribute to the success of our operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Design, plan, and oversee mining operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations.
2. Prepare short-term and long-term mine plans, schedules, and budgets.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and recommend cost-effective mining methods.
4. Monitor and optimize production performance against targets.
5. Supervise drilling, blasting, and extraction processes in line with approved designs.
6. Implement health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment.
7. Liaise with geologists, surveyors, and other technical staff to coordinate operations.
8. Prepare technical reports and present findings to management.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
2. A valid Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (or eligibility to obtain one) is an added advantage.
3. Minimum [3–5] years of experience in open pit or underground mining operations.
4. Strong knowledge of mining software ( Surpac, Datamine, AutoCAD).
5. Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
6. Knowledge of local mining legislation and safety standards.
