RioZim Ltd, a wholly owned Zimbabwean Company with mining and related operations in several parts of Zimbabwe, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill in vacancies at Renco mine in the following disciplines:
Mine Captain - RioZim
The successful applicant will be based at Renco Mine and will undertake any such tasks, within the scope of their expertise, as may be directed by the Underground Manager inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
• Supervise sectional resources and outputs.
• Adherence to mining systems and practices in ore extraction, drilling and blasting, scraping, tramming, and hoisting.
• Infrastructural development, replacement and improvement of projects in the section.
• Compliance to mining statutory regulations, safe work procedures and code of conduct.
• Budgeting and management of sectional expenditure
• Monitoring mining efficiencies in order to minimize production costs and overtime.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience:
• BSc in Mining Engineering.
• 5 years post qualification in a mining environment, preferably narrow reef underground operation.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of HSEQ management systems is mandatory.
• Mine Rescue experience is an added advantage.
