Job Description

Childline Zimbabwe is a Private Voluntary Organisation which is registered under the laws of Zimbabwe, specialising in child protection, championing, guarding and protecting their rights through the provision of safe, confidential and child friendly reporting mechanisms centred around a free 24-hour counselling services. It seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced individual to take up the role of Meal Graduate Intern.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect, store & collate data from helpline and Drop-in centres timely, including regular data entry.
• Ensure accurateness of data collected and stored, addressing any anomalies timely.
• Assist MEAL department in implementing research, project evaluations, reviews and monitoring.
• Assist MEAL department in designing, testing and implementing M&E data collection tools and processes.
• Assist MEAL department in undertaking trainings of staff and volunteers in data quality processing, in line with the M&E departmental plans;
• Assist MEAL Officer in ensuring the data reliability and accuracy of the data collected.
• Provide information to include in the monthly & annual departmental reports, and other statistical reports for donors and government stakeholders, including NAC and local Authority.
• Assist in maintaining an up-to-date electronic database of ALL Childline beneficiaries.
• Assist in analysing the data received and collected from the Drop-in Centres and Helpline.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in social sciences/Monitoring & Evaluation
• Experience in an NGO is an added advantage.
• Good quantitative & qualitative analytical skills
• Excellent verbal & written skills
• Fluency in English and Ndebele
