BACKGROUND
Mwenezi Development Training Centre [MDTC] is a community based organization operating in Mwenezi, Chiredzi and Beitbridge districts. MDTC implements diversified community development and humanitarian programmes which are funded by various funding partners. The organization has the following vacancies to implement a WFP funded programme (Lean Season Assistance) in Chiredzi and Mwenezi districts from October 2020 to April 2021. Therefore women and men with potential to be high performers are encouraged to apply for these challenging and exciting positions.

Reporting to the Field Supervisor
Major Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities


• Conduct distribution process and post distribution monitoring surveys and analyze data using statistical packages.
• Adhere to weekly and monthly reporting deadlines as informed by the programme implementation guidelines.
• Conduct baseline and end line surveys, analyze data, produce quality baseline (first month of LSA) and end of project reports (last month of LSA) and submit them timeously to the Field Supervisor.
• Produce markets monitoring reports (every Wednesday), weekly situational reports (by every Thursday before close of business), and submit them timeously to the Field Supervisor.
• Consolidate daily registration updates, cash and in-kind distribution updates, Help Desk and SCOPE issues, programme meetings minutes and submit them timeously to the Field Supervisor.
• Training of enumerators, DCC and Field Officers in consultation with the Field Supervisor
• Ensure LSA data cleaning and database management is done correctly by the DCC.
• In liaison with the Field Supervisor, prepare correct food and/or cash distribution plans and submit to Field Supervisor timeously.

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge and skills
• Experience in working with a local NGO in project implementation of cash/food assistance.
• Experience in working with Mwenezi Development Training Centre will be an added advantage.
• Excellent computer skills with experience in software packages such as SPSS and MS Access with high proficiency in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Database & MS Excel and other computer software packages.
• Has at least 2 years’ experience collecting programme output and outcome data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Knowledge of utilizing WFP monitoring and evaluation tools.
• Possession of class 3 or 4 driver’s license and ability to ride a motor bike will be an added advantage.
Education: Degree in Social Sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of cash/food assistance programmes.
