Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following post that have arisen in the University:

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
The marketing officer will be involved in marketing and publicity activities for the university. The officer’s duties will include the following:
 Effective communication in both formal and informal situations with colleagues at all levels within the university.
 Engaging appropriately with external contacts and representing the University in a positive way.
 Contributing to writing, editing, and proof-reading of University publications, flyers and web-based material.
 Producing graphic material for the University.
 Producing material and updating the University website and social platforms.
 Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies for the University.
 Conducting market research.
 Overseeing the coordination and organization of all public events linked to the University.
 Attend University organised events and representing the university at events such as shows and career conferences or on external bodies and committees as appropriate.
 Report writing and communication.
 Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
 Carrying any other duties as assigned by the Director, Marketing, Public and International Relations.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of a first degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or equivalent.
A Masters’ degree in the relevant fields and knowledge in graphic designing will be an added advantage. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
