MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Duties and Responsibilities
What we expect from you
Assist the Senior Management Accountant in managing the Group’s financial and capital strategy.
Prepare the Group’s budget parameters and common information and provide direction to subsidiaries in line with the Group financial strategy.
Prepare financial budgets and budget framework for circulation to subsidiaries.
Assist the Senior Management Accountant in managing and tracking the Group’s annual Budgeting process and providing guidance to the subsidiaries.
Prepare detailed budgets including capital expenditure for the Holding company and the supporting key analysis to support the budgets.
Assist in the periodic Group budget reviews in line with economy developments or other significant strategic / operational variations to the original budgets.
Preparation of monthly management accounts and making forecasts to assist Group business planning and decision-making
Assist in developing management control systems for financial performance measurement and cost reduction strategies
Assist in data accumulation for budget preparation and come up with input for budget framework.
Analyze budget figures against actual financial performance and proffer solutions for variances.
Identify and appraise potential investments in line with the set return on investment (ROI) and other key set benchmarks, and prepare financial analysis reports on mergers, acquisitions, disposals and new businesses.
Assist in developing and maintaining an effective investment strategy for the Holding company’s investment portfolio.
Prepare various optimal asset mix for the Group based on budgeted and/or forecasted risk and return profiles.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Skills and experience required
A Degree in Accounting
A full professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CIMA or similar is essential.
At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
Good communication skills and ability to relate well at all levels.
Ability to pay attention to detail and produce accurate work.
Solid computer skills preferably in MS Excel and other data packages.
