Job Description
Our company is recruiting a Maintenance Officer to take responsibility for installing and
maintaining our manufacturing equipment, utilities such HVAC Systems, water purification
systems and electricity generators and buildings and premises. As a Maintenance Officer
your job will include setting up and testing equipment and utilities, conducting regular
maintenance and trouble-shooting faults to minimize downtime. You will train machine
operators how to operate equipment and utilities and dismantle and remove defunct
machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspecting plant, machinery and buildings and conducting regular maintenance
Assembling and testing plant and machinery
Training operatives on the correct use of machines and utilities
Providing technical support and trouble shooting issues
Following safety best practices and regulations.
Promoting current Good Manufacturing Practices
Qualification of Equipment, Utilities and Buildings
Supervising Contractors
Qualifications and Experience
A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance
Engineering or Millwright
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering will be an added
advantage
At least 4 years hands on experience in a similar capacity and manufacturing industry
Registration and membership with relevant professional body
Ability to work well with your hands
Trouble shooting and analytical skills
Decision making and problem solving
Maturity
