Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following post that has arisen within the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (ZIMDEF) - an equal opportunity employer.
MAIN REGISTRY ASSISTANT - HEAD OFFICE
Reporting to the Main Registry Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of all Main Registry functions and ensuring that requisite procedures are properly followed to facilitate ease retrieval and availability of requisite organizational infonnation at any given period.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Incoming and outgoing mail management • Archives management • Files and vital document management • Indexes Management • Document storage management • Publications management and reprographics services • Records and Archives description and arrangement • Liaising with various courier services such as SWIFT, ZIMPOST to ensure timeous delivery of mails • Producing sectional reports • Carrying out receptionist duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Competencies and Work Competencies
• Diploma in Records Management/Records and Archives Management or Library and Information Science /equivalent • A minimum of two years' relevant experience • Good knowledge of Records electronic systems • Knowledge of ACTS, Official Secrets Act Chap 11:09, National Archives Act Chap 25;06 • Records procedures (An added advantage)
