Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to:-
• Identify areas of potential losses within the University and design robust systems to prevent losses.
• Design and implement internal control systems in all high risk areas with a view to prevent loss.
• Work closely with the Procurement Management Unit to ensure that all procurement equipment is of the right quantity and quality.
• Monitor all projects and maintenance work to ensure that the University obtains value for money.
• Introduce electronic surveillance systems in identified areas to minimize loss.
• Train and supervise CCTV operators, and evaluate their performance.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of procurement and loss control activities.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Asset Protection Management

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
The positon requires an individual with:-
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Risk and Security Management or a related qualification.
• A minimum of five years relevant experience in the Risk and Investigations field in similar role.
• A clean criminal record supported by recent police clearance.
• National Security Service experience would be an added advantage.
• Information, Communication and Technology skills including basic knowledge of report writing.
• High emotional intelligence, integrity and vast experience.
