Job Description

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Loss control manager to lead their loss control department. The incumbent will be responsible for protecting company assets, identifying and minimizing internal and external risks related to theft, fraud, and operational inefficiencies. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing robust investigative procedures, security protocols, and compliance standards to safeguard people, property, and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee loss prevention strategies across all company departments.
• Conduct detailed investigations into incidents of theft, fraud, and employee misconduct.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, safety regulations, and security policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to manage risk-related issues.
• Analyze security risks and recommend improvements in physical security and operational processes.
• Train and supervise security personnel and ensure they adhere to best practices in loss prevention.
• Review audit reports and inventory records to identify anomalies.
• Prepare detailed reports on investigations, risk assessments, and loss incidents.
• Implement systems to track, report, and reduce shrinkage and losses.
• Lead emergency response planning and business continuity initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Security Management
• Degree in Risk and Insurance Management or equivalent.
• Proven background in the Zimbabwe Republic Police
• Must be of mature age
• At least 3 years’ experience in an FMCG or Retail setup
• Class 4 driver’s licence
