LOGISTICS CLERK
Mutare-based leading manufacturer and distributor in FMCG seeks a qualified and experienced versatile Logistics Clerk to join its Logistics Operations team.

Job Purpose

To coordinate, monitor, and support logistics operations, including dispatch, transportation, and delivery documentation, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Business Development Officer, the successful candidate will, among other duties, be responsible for:

❖ Coordinating vehicle and truck allocation, handover, and dispatch activities.
❖ Maintaining accurate fleet allocation, trip, and compliance records.
❖ Assisting with route planning to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
❖ Monitoring driver performance, turnaround times, and adherence to SOPs.
❖ Liaising with vehicle tracking and vehicle workshop team on fleet availability and breakdowns.
❖ Verifying pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports and escalating defects.
❖ Compiling and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly logistics and fleet reports.
❖ Complying with SHEQ, transport regulations, and company procedures.
❖ Performing any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes

❖ At least 5 O’ Levels including Mathematics and English.
❖ Degree in Transport and Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
❖ Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics, transport, or distribution within FMCG/manufacturing.
❖ Proficiency with an ERP system and MS Excel.
❖ Person of unquestionable integrity.
