Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Registered General Nurses /Midwives and ICU Nurses to offer locum services to Nectacare Private Limited in Zvishavane and Shurugwi.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Observing patients closely, noting specific procedures and prescribed medication for each case.
• Assessing patients' pain levels and sedation requirements
• Caring for and assisting women in labour
• Providing post-delivery care, motivation of mothers and health education
• Monitoring vital signs and ensuring the proper functioning of feeding tubes, ventilators, catheters and other life support equipment
• Attending to the patient’s overall needs such as feeding, bathing, and grooming, dressing, medication intake, and comfort.
• Providing support and education to the patient’s family, answering questions and giving vital instructions on how to care for the patient.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
• Diploma in General Nursing
• Diploma in Midwifery and OR ICU Nursing Diploma
• Valid Practicing Certificate from the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
• 3 years post qualification experience in nursing with intensive care nursing and/or midwifery exposure.
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Good problem solving and decision making skills
• The ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision in emergency situations
• Commitment to handling private and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism
