CIMAS is looking for a Locum Nurse / Ambulance Technician
Job Description
Reports and follows up on all non-working equipment to establish return of equipment.
Maintains a zero culture of microbes on surface swabs.
Maintains and ensures adequate ambulance supplies that include linen, stationery, surgical sundries and drugs.
Collects call sheet with all pertinent details related to the patient condition, number of casualties and location from the Emergency Medical Dispatcher before leaving base.
Triages patients in mass casualty incidences to establish if additional resources are required.
Assesses and renders advanced emergency medical treatment to the patient prior to the evacuation.
Accompanies, monitors patient condition and records findings and interventions during evacuation as per Cimas Rescue Medical Protocols.
Presents and participates during medical debriefs following calls (for example mass casualties and complex procedures).
Completes patient medical report and submits to the EMD for billing and record keeping purposes.
Reviews individual calls during medical audit for quality control purposes.
Ensures complete financial documentation of a call (claim form, acknowledgement of debt form and receipts).
Presents daily reports on calls during daily morning debriefs.
Candidate Requirements
Diploma in General Nursing
Ambulance Technician or Emergency Medical Technician certificate
Clean Class 4 Drivers License
2-4 Years’ experience in emergency medical services
Valid Practicing Certificate from Nurses Council of Zimbabwe
