Exciting and challenging opportunities have arisen within First Mutual Reinsurance Company in the Operations Department. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill these vacancies on a permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Specification
• Designing and implementing operations strategy for life and health business annually.
• Monitoring underwriting pricing, terms, and loss experience against targets.
• Developing and implementing marketing plan for the life and health business to grow the business.
• Providing expertise to clients in product design and development.
• Providing technical training on underwriting, reinsurance and claims for life and health companies.
• Monitoring premium income, retrocession costs, commission, claims and reinsurance underwriting profitability against financial targets monthly and quarterly.
• Reviewing internal and external audit reports on underwriting activities and implement corrective action to control and processing risks identified annually.
• Evaluating and maintaining internal processes and procedures for optimal premium collection, staff performance and claims settlements monthly.
• Providing expertise to clients in product design and development.

Qualifications and Experience

Person Specification
• Degree in Insurance and Risk Management.
• Fellow CII or IISA an added advantage.
• 5 years' experience in similar position or related environment and 3 of which should be in senior management position.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, detail orientation and communication skills.
• Establishing and maintaining professional rapport with teammates.
