WE'RE HIRING
LEGAL SERVICES OFFICER: LEGAL
SERVICES DEPARTMENT: BULAWAYO

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
• Preparing legal submissions and representing NRZ in civil claims, criminal prosecutions and labour court proceedings.
• Providing timely and sound legal advice on diverse issues affecting
| NRZ operations, including verbal and written
consultations.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and legal documents to ensure compliance with current laws and enforceability.
• Ensuring Alternate Dispute Resolution options are exercised and exhausted first before litigation.
• Ensuring the organisation's operations are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Participating in disciplinary processes and appeals, ensuring legally compliant and fair outcomes in collaboration with the Human Resources and Administration Branch.
• Staying abreast of legislative and regulatory developments that may impact NRZ and advising accordingly.
• Supporting the organisation's data privacy and protection compliance issues and liaising with Data Protection Authority.
• Conducting training and awareness sessions on legal and data protection matters.
• Filing and tracking of all legal documents, contracts, correspondences, court orders and any other relevant reports.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements:
• a) Have a relevant Law Degree (e.g. LLB
Degree) from a recognised institution.
• b) Be a registered Legal Practitioner or significant progress towards registration.
• c) Have at least three (3) years'
relevant
experience in a legal environment.
• d) Have strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to NRZ, transport and logistics sector.
