Job Description
NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
The University seeks to recruit applicants with requisite qualifications, skills and experience for the following academic posts in the Faculty of Applied Science: -
Lectureship/Senior Lectureship/Associate Professorship (1 Post)
Department of Applied Biology and Biochemistry
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and practical training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in areas of Bioinformatics, Molecular Systematics and, Molecular Genetics. Supervision of research projects in the area of specialisation will be expected.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should be holders of BSc (Honours) with relevant content for the post and an MSc/Mphil in Bioinformatics and /or Computational Biology. The candidate should have at least 2 years work experience in an institution of higher education or a research institution. Experience in the assessment of students and supervision of research projects in area of specialisation, as well as curriculum development will be an added advantage. A PhD or a registration for a PhD in the relevant field will also be an added advantage.
