Job Description
LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/PROFESSOR (1 POST) – FOR BACHELOR OF LAWS HONOURS DEGREE –FACULTY OF LAW
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate must be able to teach at least three of the following modules: International Economic Law, Information and Technology Law, Artificial Intelligence and the Law, Revenue Law and Estate Planning, Sports and Recreation Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, International Trade and Investment Law, International Business Transactions, Cyber and Internet Law and Tax Law at undergraduate level; demonstrate and/or show proof of ability to conduct legal research and produce publications; undertake University service as and when required and to participate and engage in community service for the benefit of the University and the surrounding community; be innovative and should contribute to the production of goods or services in line with Education 5.0.
Qualifications and Experience
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Law. A PhD in this field is an added advantage. The ideal candidate must be a registered legal practitioner. The candidate must have at least 2 years lecturing experience at tertiary institution level with a clear record of successful research, publications and supervision of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The candidate should be a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe.
