Applicants must be able to teach at least four (4) courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels from the following: Environmental Management Systems; Ergonomics; Occupational Hygiene and Toxicology; Safety, Health and Environmental Auditing; Occupational Health and Safety Legislation; Safety Health and Risk Management and Occupational Health and Safety Education. The department reserves the right to allocate courses for teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Department’s activities involving teaching, research, community engagement as well as innovation and industrialisation.

Applicants should hold a first Degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Management with at least 2.1 class and a Master’s Degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Management with at least a merit. A PhD in relevant field would be an added advantage. Applicants must have a minimum of two years teaching experience at a Tertiary learning institution or traceable industrial experience working in an Occupational Health and Safety Training Environment. Applicants must provide a detailed list of publications; clearly specifying titles of publications, journal names, volumes, page numbers, dates of publications, name(s) of publishers and of co–authors if any, in their curriculum vitae.
