Job Description
Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified persons to fill in a vacancy that has arisen in the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares all samples for analyses including; data entry of sample information; loading and unloading bottle roll machine; crushing and pulverizing samples; handling reject returns; and operating the AAS machine.
Preparation of all Mine, Exploration and Metallurgical Lab Plant samples.
Maintains complete and accurate records of all samples in the logbook and the computer database.
Performs daily housekeeping tasks and the routine maintenance of preparation equipment.
Adheres to the company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
Works without risk or harm to self and others.
Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
At least 2 years working in a gold mining environment
Diploma in Metallurgical assaying or equivalent
Two years previous experience in a mining Industry will be an added advantage
Must be computer literate
Must be in possession of a class 4 Driver’s License
Good written and oral communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work, cope and produce results under pressure
