Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Laboratory Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests, ensuring accurate and timely results, and maintaining high standards of quality and patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests
Analyze and interpret test results accurately
Maintain and operate laboratory equipment
Ensure adherence to quality control and assurance procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory reports
Ensure proper sample collection, handling, and storage
Monitor and manage laboratory stock and reagents
Adhere to infection control and laboratory safety protocols
Report any abnormal results or equipment issues promptly
Ensure compliance with laboratory standards
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent
Registered with the relevant professional regulatory body
Valid practicing certificate
At least 3 & above years’ working experience in a clinical laboratory (preferred)
Knowledge and practical experience with laboratory quality systems such as ZINQAP
Experience in handling laboratory equipment and performing a wide range of tests
Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organizational and time management skills
