Job Description

Post A: Laboratory Manager (1Post)
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
Managing overall laboratory operations.
Marketing the laboratory services to clinicians, medical centers and other institutions.
Direct the implementation of an ISO 15189 compliant quality management system for the attainment of accreditation.
Developing procedures to ensure safety, security, quality, and accuracy of results.
Designing and performing test procedures.
Analysing requests for tests and equipment.
Tending to administrative and management matters.
Consulting with clinicians and researcher’s principal investigators.
Laboratory budgeting.
Customer complaints resolution.
Innovation including facilitating research studies for drug discovery and diagnostic test development.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and experience
BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.
Msc degree in any Medical Laboratory Science /Msc in Business Administration/ Strategic Management is an added advantage
Must be registered with the Medical Laboratory & Clinical Scientist Council of Zimbabwe.
Past experience in implementation of ISO 15189 is an added advantage.
At least 5 years work experience in a similar environment, with at least 4 years’ experience at supervisory level.
