The job exists to coordinate key population (KP) program activities across the PSI/Zimbabwe portfolio. The Coordinator advances program quality provides support and transfers skills through technical assistance to the PSI implementation team and other key stakeholders. This position influences and supports internal PSI KP program implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, and provides technical support to Last Mile implementing KP community-based partners

Duties and Responsibilities

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities
• Analyse routine and special program data to identify best practices for cascading
throughout the network and opportunities for continuous quality improvement in the
program
• Lead the review of program performance against the PSI KP program Key
performance indicators and serve as the primary writer in compilation of program
reports
• Support the Integrated HIV Care Specialist in the development and implementation of
technical and experiential quality standards across the New Start Centre network
• Represent PSI, KP program on relevant working/technical advisory bodies and at
global HIV conferences and meetings serving as the PSI KP technical lead
• Participate in the development of the annual work plan for the KP program to guide
implementation of activities
• Supports the TSC by coordinating PSIs internal cross functional support, ensuring
that all PSI departments are appraised on the needs of the TSC and are positioned
to deliver.
• Conduct technical support visit to PSI and public sector sites implementing the KP
program and support field managers to sustainably improve performance
• Strengthen the institutional and technical capacity of clinical service points and sub
partners to implement sensitive, responsive, and friendly behavioural, biomedical,
and structural interventions.
• Lead the implementation of KP M&E frameworks, strategies, guidelines, and
packages. The KP Program Coordinator should use the lessons learnt from the PSI
program to support the scale up innovations to the National KP program.
• Support the rollout of a KP M&E system which allows for tracking of a layered
minimum package of services across KP partners and service delivery points.
• Strengthen program, partner, and staff capacity to generate, interpret and use routine
evidence to strengthen programmatic decision-making.
• Prepare program budgets in alignment with set programme objectives and plans.
• Periodically reviews partner program performance and provides technical guidance
to keep performance on track.
• Supports the Integrated HIV Care Specialist to manage sub-award budgets and
ensure program compliance and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinates the implementation team to ensure timely payment of sub-award
partners and program contracted personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field or in Social Sciences (Health Education
and Promotion or Social Work)
• Master’s Degree or other advanced degree in relevant field (Master of Public Health
or Management Health Sciences) will be an added advantage
• Demonstrated experience and sensitivity working with key populations
• Experience providing or managing HIV/ SRHR programs, including their design,
budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Comprehensive experience in report writing and documentation
• Experience and excellence in working with large, diverse, and remote teams
• Experience working with government structures to strengthen national KP programs
• Familiarity with PEPFAR, USAID, Global Fund and other international donors
• Three years hands-on experience in HIV programming for Key Populations in
Zimbabwe
• Experience with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Outlook
• Clean Class 4 driver’s license and willingness to travel within Zimbabwe
