Job Description
Our client is an international company expanding their team within Zimbabwe looking for experienced and qualified Systems Testers to join their team. You will be responsible for the quality of software development and deployment. You will be also involved in performing automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Some duties will include analysis of software and systems and mitigating risk and prevention of software issues. As a results-driven Systems Tester, you will be responsible for designing and running tests on software usability, conducting tests, analysing the results and reporting observations to the design team. You may also interact with clients in order to understand the requirements of the product. Analyze test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability. Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios. Report bugs and errors to the Development team. Execute test cases as required & evidence results. Prepare reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and report to the linx UI/ UX Designer. Interact with clients to understand product requirements. Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems. Write test cases according to` best practise’ standard for other customers’ use in order to reduce repetition. Update test release notes, based on job cards. Provide technical guide updates (e.g configuration, database or software product changes). Review and update regression test plan. Raise and document defects, re-test as required. Continuous improvement – identify gaps or make suggestions for improvements (process, scripts, streamlining, other tools etc). Customer focus – the consideration of the customer need is paramount in this role. Please note that this is a contractual full time.
