Job Description

• Provide first-line technical support to staff
• Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of computer systems
• Help maintain IT asset registers and equipment inventory
• Support back-ups, data security checks and routine system updates
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and support of computer systems, networks, and hardware
• Provide first line IT support to Council staff
• Assist with software installation, updates, and troubleshooting
• Monitor antivirus software and updates
• Support data entry, record management, and digital filling systems
• Help manage IT inventory and asset tracking
• Participate in digitization and e-governance initiatives
• Assist with website and social media updates
• Provide backup technical support for network including router, firewall, and wireless access points
• Provide training support to users on basic ICT tools
• Any other duties that may be prescribed by the supervisor

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software and networking
• Knowledge of computer systems and software
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
