Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post, which has arisen in the IT department at an FMCG Company.
THE JOB
Reporting to the IT Manager, the successful applicant will among other key challenging aspects be responsible for:
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing on-call support and problem resolution for Business applications in multi-user computer environments.
Troubleshooting and installing the company telephone system.
Setting up the company LAN, VPNs and WAN equipment to provide continuous service to agreed service levels.
Identifying security issues and risks and develop mitigation plans.
Responding to computer security breaches and viruses.
Monitoring all security systems and network activity
Maintaining network equipment asset register.
Developing and delivering regular training and perform general security awareness and
specific security technology training for all employees to ensure consistently high levels of compliance with enterprise security documents.
Qualifications and Experience
The Person
Academic Qualifications
At least 2 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Bachelors’ degree or HND in Information Systems or Computer Science
CCNA or CCNP Certification a Must
A high level of demonstrated aptitude, competency or technical leadership.
Knowledge of the following Applications and Technologies will be an added advantage:
Sage 1000 or equivalent ERP System,
Sophos Firewall, Active directory, Hyper-V / VSphere and or VMWare
Relational Database experience e.g. SQL, Oracle,
Hardware and Networking support skills,
Windows Server X experience required
