Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide tailored IT solutions to a diverse range of clients, ensuring their systems are optimized for efficiency, scalability, and security. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of various businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities
Client Consultation & Needs Assessment:
●Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and IT requirements.
●Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' existing IT infrastructures and workflows.
●Develop and present customized IT strategies and solutions that align with clients' goals.
Solution Design & Implementation:
●Propose, design, and implement IT systems, including hardware, software, and network solutions, tailored to clients' needs.
●Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of IT solutions to ensure seamless integration.
●Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors for solution deployment.
System Optimization & Support:
●Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and efficiency for clients.
●Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT systems post-implementation.
●Develop and execute maintenance plans to minimize downtime and system failures.
Cybersecurity & Risk Mitigation:
●Assess clients' systems for potential vulnerabilities and recommend robust cybersecurity measures.
●Implement data protection protocols and compliance standards to safeguard sensitive information.
Training & Capacity Building:
●Train client staff on the use of new systems, tools, and technologies.
●Create detailed user guides and operational manuals to support system adoption.
Reporting & Documentation:
●Prepare detailed reports on IT assessments, solutions provided, and project progress.
●Maintain accurate documentation of client engagements and system configurations.
Qualifications and Experience
Technical Expertise:
●Proven experience in IT systems design, implementation, and support.
●Strong knowledge of cloud computing, ERP systems, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT infrastructure.
●Proficiency in using tools such as Odoo ERP, Microsoft 365, and other relevant technologies.
Educational Background:
●Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
●At least 2 years of IT consulting experience, preferably working with multiple clients across industries.
●Familiarity with Zimbabwean or African business environments is a plus.
Soft Skills:
●Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
●Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
●Ability to manage multiple client projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Performance Metrics:
●Client satisfaction and positive feedback on provided solutions.
●Successful implementation of IT solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.
●Reduction in system issues and downtime for clients.
●Continuous improvement and upskilling of client teams.
