Job Description
Purpose of the job Contributing to the provision of audit assurance on the presence and effective operation of the organisation’s IT and related controls. This includes IT in general controls and application of specific controls.
Duties and Responsibilities
Main Focus Areas
• Reviews of IT general controls including IT infrastructure, IT physical control environment, IT Governance, IT Security, IT
Business continuity & Disaster recovery, System Development and Change Management amongst others
• Pre and Post implementation reviews of new IT platforms
• Data analytics
• Conducting fraud and other special investigations as directed
• Assisting with annual audit plan and strategy
• Presentation and discussion of audit findings with line management
• Drafting and finalising of audit reports.
• Proposing value adding recommendations for the improvement of IT processes and procedures
• Updating internal audit programs
• Conducting follow-ups on audit issues to ensure resolution within agreed timelines
• Participating in IT projects that require audit involvement
• Training and supervision of interns
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Work Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Studies, IT, Computer Science.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification a must
• 3 years’ audit experience or working in an IT Department

• Knowledge of COBIT framework and IIA standards a must
