Job Description
Invitation to Tender
Methodist Development and Relief Agency (MeDRA) is a registered local PVO seeking a competent supplier to install a SOLARISED PIPED WATER SYSTEM in Chipinge (Ngaone -Toti Village) from a spring.

The spring is in Ngaone- Toti Village, 40km from Chipinge town.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Scope Work
• 2.5km PWS with 3 main water points
• 5 tapes at the school.
• 1 tape at the shops
• 2 tapes for the community
• The pump should be an Alternating/Direct Current Solar Pump with a maximum discharge of 0.5 litre/sec and a minimum Head of 100m for a 140mm (4'') nominal Diameter hole.
• Appropriate Solar panels.
• Installation of 1 X 10 000L tank and stand with 4.5m high and a ladder.
• Installation of 1 X 5 000L tank and stand with 3m high and a ladder.
• Securing of the pump and the solar panels.
• All pipelines to be of class 10 trenched to min depth of 600mm Below Ground Level (BGL) All pipes to have size and class clearly marked. Unmarked pipes will not be accepted.
Qualifications and Experience
Site Visit Date
• All the prospective bidders are expected to visit the site on Tuesday, 31st of January 2023, for familiarization and coming up with a BOQ.
• Failure to visit the site on the stated date will result in the disqualification of the bid.
The following terms and conditions will guide the tender,
• State deposit required before work commencement on the quote and the balance will be paid upon issuance of Certificate of Completion by DDF.
• The services are offered with 1-year guarantee except for the pump which the supplier should state the guarantee to be provided.
• The BOQ and overall quote to be produced based on the site visit to be conducted by prospective contractors.
• Supplier to provide the expected time frame to complete the work.
