Job Description

To carry out investment promotion initiatives of the Agency, which includes promoting and marketing investment opportunities that support growth of FDI and DDI in the country, and position the country as an investment destination of choice.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description

Develop, implement and measure the impact of investment promotion strategies
Design and action targeted campaigns for investment opportunities cleared for promotion
Analyse and review FDI data and trends and develop investor/ target source market profiles
Identify, categorise and rank foreign investors for promotion of specific investment opportunities
Target potential foreign investors with a view to attract them to set-up business operations in Zimbabwe
Liaise with the relevant Zimbabwean MDAs, target countries’ constituted bodies and government agencies, as and when required
Identify and create digital register of potential partners in Zimbabwe for foreign investors
Plan, coordinate and implement local/regional/international road shows as well as individual business presentations
Plan and coordinate local site visits for foreign investors
Organise sector specific conferences and networking sessions for investors and local partners and MDAs
Receive investors, business delegations and assist with inquiries and information gathering on behalf of the investor
Support foreign mission offices with promotion materials, information and relevant support required for investor enquiries received.
Provide input into research initiatives to identify and develop investment opportunities.
Review and update detailed investment prospectuses and proposals.
Promote ZIDA at relevant industry events.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements

Degree in International Relations & Diplomacy, Trade, Investment, Business Management, Marketing and Sales, Project Management or related
At least 3 years work experience in a similar or equivalent role
Sound knowledge of CRM systems
Project Management Qualification is an added advantage
Fluency in English, Shona or Ndebele and good command of any other local or UN languages is an added advantage
Excellent presentation and communication skills
High level of diplomacy and ability to interact and engage high level executives
