POST : Investigations Officers X 36
STATIONS : Masvingo, Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru, Bindura Chinhoyi
GRADE : G3
REPORTS TO : Manager Investigations

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receiving crime reports made to the Commission
2. Investigate corruption cases, serious frauds and other mandate offences
3. Allocating references to all cases received
4. Maintaining docket allocation books
5. Capturing data of all cases received in the electronic system
6. Conducting surveillance for the detection of rime and gather intelligence on suspected cases of corruption and mandate offences
7. Attending scene of crime, gather evidence and compile dockets
8. Taking accused persons to court
9. Making follow up on corruption and other mandate cases before the courts
10. Making entries in departmental registers and update records on cases being handled by Investigations Directorate
11. Attending meetings with stakeholders on matters to do with combating corruption in consultation with the Manager Investigations
12. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
i) Degree in Police or Security Studies, Forensic Science, Financial Intelligence, Law, Tax Management, Audit or other equivalent qualifications.
ii) A minimum of 2 years' experience in law enforcement and criminal investigations will be an added advantage.
iii) Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
iv) Ability to work under pressure
v) An appreciation of various legal instruments on combating and investigating crime
vi) Interrogation and evidence gathering skills
vii) High level of integrity
