Ensure Implementing procedures, systems and
practices for the management of stock and waste at
the Division
Review of stock consumption history and good stock
maintenance practices
Conducting periodical stock counts
Space Utilization-provision for the full utilization of
warehouse space, and for optimization of binning, bin
replenishment and picking activities
Replenishment of stocks timeously, making follow ups
with buyers an in liaison with end users mutually
agreeing and consenting on workable solutions
Supervision of receiving items from foreign and local
suppliers and ensure quality conformance through
technical and non – technical inspections
SHE Management within the Procurement section
Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent from a
reputable tertiary institution
CIPS Graduate Diploma an added advantage
At least 5 years post qualification experience, 3 years
of which should have been at Buyer level or higher in
a Mining or Heavy Industry environment
Proficiency in the use of relevant
procurement/supplies ERP system, preferably SAP
Module and SAP Super User training will be a distinct
advantage
Working knowledge of safety management systems,
with exposure to the NOSA SHE System being an
added advantage
Strong interpersonal skills to work with team
members and customers
Good negotiation skills for better deals with suppliers
Must be able to communicate at all levels both
verbally and written
Clean Class 4 driver’s licence a must
