Job Description

Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified and experienced Zimbabwean citizens below the age of fifty (50), with a clean security, disciplinary, criminal record, to fill the following permanent establishment vacant positions. Candidates with a good knowledge and practical application of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in particular ISO 9001:2015, will have a distinct advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities



Job Description
14.1 Interpret accurately and simultaneously vernacular languages spoken during plenary sittings of the House and Parliamentary Portfolio Committees business;
14.2 Produce educational material on Parliament for schools, civic society and the general public in vernacular languages;
14.3 Produce Parliament articles and other publications;
14.4 Cover Parliament events like workshops, seminars and conferences through photography and writing;
14.5 Translate Parliament fact sheets and other documents into local languages;
14.6 Assist in conducting public hearings and educational outreach programmes;
14.7 Develop Parliamentary terminology in liaison with various stakeholders; and
14.9 Perform any other duties as may be assigned from to time by the Director Public Relations;

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications and Personnel Specifications
1. An Honours Degree in Arts / English and Communication Studies;
2. A post graduate qualification in Education is an added advantage;
Sound Public Relations / Marketing knowledge is a distinct advantage;
1. Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
2. Ability to interpret and translate at least any two of the above local languages, is a distinct advantage.
3. At least 2 years relevant working experience;
5 “O” Levels, including English Language and Maths;
