Job Description

Job Purpose
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting independent and objective audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, promote good governance, and support continuous business improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for, among other duties, the following:
• Conduct end-to-end audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare clear, concise, and insightful audit reports for Senior Management, highlighting findings and providing practical, actionable recommendations.
• Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, ethical standards, and internal policies.
• Partner with departmental heads and key stakeholders to implement corrective actions and improve workflow efficiency and control environments.
• Identify process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities that enhance operational effectiveness and safeguard organisational assets.
• Support the organisation in strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess the following:
• A Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to evaluate and select appropriate Al-driven tools to solve complex business problems.
• A minimum of 3 years' post-training experience in a similar role.
• A clean Class 4 Driver's Licence is a must.
