The above-mentioned positions have arisen within the TIMB, and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the positions on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidates will be located at any of our Regional Offices (Chinhoyi, Karoi, Mvurwi, Bindura, Marondera, Rusape and Mutare).
REPORTS TO: INSPECTORATE MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Effective enforcement of set compliance regulatory frameworks.
• İdentifying and investigating illegal activities in the tobacco industry.
• Arresting offenders violating set compliance regulations.
• Conducting necessary searches where there are some suspected violations of the guiding regulations.
• Giving evidence in courts during the prosecution of cases reported to the Zimbabwe
Republic Police.
• Strategic Intelligence gathering to solve tobacco related challenges.
• Conducting criminal profiling of tobacco related offenders.
• Compliance monitoring and checks through inspections on tobacco merchants and other related stakeholders.
• Identifying gaps and shortcomings in the existing statutes and making the necessary recommendations.
• Effective coordination with the Law Enforcement and other related agencies in solving tobacco related criminal challenges.
• Innovation and effective implementation of strategies that will assist in fighting existing and evolving tobacco related criminalities
• Making necessary and informed recommendations on strategic issues affecting the orderliness of the tobacco industry.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Higher National Diploma/Degree in Risk and Security Management/Forensic investigation or a Degree in Police and Security Studies or Equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Five years' experience in crime management.
• A serving or retired member from the uniformed forces, preferably from ZRP.
• Clean class four (4) driver's license.

Investigation of white-collar crimes skill.
• Data driven analytical skills to guide strategic decision making & problem solving.
• Conflict management skill.
• Knowledge of community relations & understanding society.
