PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
ICT Support and Maintenance
Deliver frontline technical support for hardware, software, networks, and communication systems, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime in mining operations.
Maintain and upgrade ICT infrastructure, including servers, databases, and cybersecurity measures, to ensure resilience against disruptions in remote mining sites.
Collaborate with mining contractors to integrate ICT tools, such as real-time monitoring systems for production data and equipment tracking.
Strategic Project Implementation
Lead the rollout of technology projects, including digital transformation initiatives like data analytics platforms and IoT integrations.
Assess and implement software solutions (e.g., ERP systems, mine planning tools) to streamline workflows, enhance data security, and support compliance with Zimbabwean regulations.
Conduct risk assessments for ICT vulnerabilities and develop contingency plans to safeguard critical operations in fault-prone or variable environments.
Collaboration and Training
Work closely with technical, operations, and finance teams to align ICT strategies with business goals, facilitating seamless data exchange with contractors.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to staff and contractors on ICT best practices, ensuring adoption of tools that improve production efficiency and safety.
Monitor emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance digital capabilities in the Great Dyke's challenging stratigraphy.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure all ICT activities comply with data protection laws, industry standards, and company policies, including audits for cybersecurity and system integrity.
Prepare reports on ICT performance, project outcomes, and cost efficiencies, contributing to monthly reconciliations and strategic planning.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years’ post-qualification experience in ICT support and project implementation, preferably in mining or industrial sectors.
Proven track record in managing ICT infrastructure in dynamic environments, with familiarity in tools like network management software, cybersecurity protocols, or mining-specific applications (e.g., Surpac integration).
Experience in contractor collaboration and working in international or resource-intensive settings is desirable.
