Job Description

INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICER
Neve Deaf Centre is seeking a dynamic and skilled Information Systems Officer with strong ICT support experience and a solid background in data analysis and visualisation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support, maintaining ICT infrastructure and supporting data management processes across our projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive IT support, including troubleshooting, maintenance and resolution of technical issues.
• Support the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team in developing data collection tools and visualisations for project reporting.
• Design and manage infographics and visual boards to communicate key project data and organisational impact in a compelling and accessible format.
• Offer technical guidance on data storage, mining and cleaning.
• Identify and implement effective information management practices aligned with Neve's mission and vision.
• Install, maintain, and monitor ICT systems and equipment.
• Manage network security, provide help desk support and user training, and perform both corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct regular system updates and upgrades, including backup management, anti-malware protection, software patching, and firewall configuration.
• Ensure ICT-related queries and issues are resolved in line with Neve's policies and procedures.
• Configure and deploy hardware, including new and refurbished computers, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Manage activity information systems, ensuring effective data capturing, processing, transfer, storage, and backup.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in IT support and data analysis.
• Proficient in using statistical software such as STATA, SPSS, SAS, Excel or EPI-Info.

• Familiarity with data modelling and visualisation is a strong advantage.
• Ability to produce clear and comprehensive reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
