Job Description

We are looking for highly qualified and competent candidates for the position of ICT
Technician in the Information and Communication Technology department, the role is responsible for providing frontline technical support to ensure smooth running of ICT infrastructure, systems, and end-user devices. The ICT Technician assists in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware, software, and network resources. The role plays a critical part in minimizing system downtime, supporting users, and ensuring ICT resources are reliable, secure, and effective.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Job Functions:
• Provide first-line support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems quickly and effectively.
• Log and escalate unresolved issues to ICT Officers where necessary.
• Assist in installation, configuration, and updating of computer systems and applications.
• Support routine network maintenance, backups, and system updates.
• Monitor performance of desktops, servers, printers, and other ICT peripherals.
• Provide user orientation and basic ICT training for staff.
• Develop user guides and FAQs to improve efficiency.
• Ensure effective customer service in handling ICT requests.
• Install and maintain ICT hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, efc.).
• Support software licensing, patching, and updates.
• Maintain accurate inventory of ICT equipment.
• Assist in implementing ICT security protocols, including antivirus and firewall management.
Ensure data backup and recovery processes are followed.
Report potential security incidents promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements of the Job:
The successful candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+, CCNA are an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in ICT technical support or systems maintenance.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and common business applications (MS Office, email systems).
• Exposure to networking, hardware repair, and ICT helpdesk systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
