We are looking for a highly qualified and competent candidate for the position of ICT
Officer (Data Analyst) in the
Information and Communication Technology
department. The role is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex datasets to provide actionable insights and intelligence that informs business decision-making.
Key Job Functions:
Designs and maintains reporting tools, ensures data integrity, and collaborates with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and strategic planning across the organization. Creating and implementing a general data strategy for the organization including:
• Designing, building, and maintaining data repositories and business intelligence systems and data solutions.
• Collects, cleans, and validates data from internal and external sources.
• Maintains databases and ensures data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Develops and implements processes for data quality assurance.
• Performs statistical and trend analysis to support business decision-making and identification of business opportunities.
• Develops interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Translates business requirements into data models and solutions, monitoring key business performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations.
• Partners with departments to provide insights on operations, sales, and customer behaviour.
• Prepares and presents findings to management in clear, concise formats.
• Identifies opportunities for automation and process optimization through data solutions. Stays current with emerging technologies, analytics tools, and industry best practices.
Requirements of the Job:
The successful candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Data Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in certifications in analytics (e.g.. Microsoft Power BI,
Tableau, SQL, QlikView, Python, or R) are an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices, data security and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Strong programming experience with SQL, data visualization tools, and statistical programming preferred, Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
• Experience with frameworks, including XML, JavaScript, and ETL. Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to present complex information in a simple, business-friendly manner.
• Proactive, collaborative, innovative, and able to work under pressure. Ability to champion innovation and institutional change.
• High integrity and commitment to data confidentiality.
