Duties
Responsibilities
Capturing all payroll related data and other information.
Archiving payroll and changing pay periods.
Assisting in the preparation of payroll schedules and payment request claims.
Ensuring that all salary related payments (i.e. net pay, PAYE, Pension, NSSA, Medical Aid are remitted timeously.
Keeping an up-to-date register for all part time payments and salary advances.
Ensuring recovery of all salary related debts of the University.
Monitoring and effecting deductions on all loan accounts.
Maintaining a record of all payments that a submitted to Cash Office.
Any other duties as may be assigned by Assistant Registrar (Salaries Accounts), Deputy Registrar, Human Resources or Registrar.
Person Specification
Requirements
The applicant should be a holder of at least a First Degree in Human Resources or Accounting degree or related area, plus a minimum of two (2) years relevant post qualification experience. The applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Belina Payroll System is a must. The applicant should possess good communication skills and good analytical skills and should be able to work under pressure.
