Job Description

The HR Clerical Assistant (HRCA) will be required to:

• Assist in drawing up appropriate staff contracts and ensure all Labor Laws are adhered to.
• Check all leave days and timesheets are captured monthly.
• Manages staff records for easy retrieval.
• Updates and maintains all Human Resources Forms, Job descriptions and employee related files.
• Supports all high-volume typing activities.
• Archives all Human Resources files and put in place an easy retrieval system.
• Attends to regular and ad hoc data queries timeously.
• Provide Monthly Schedule of Staff salaries.
• Assist, coordinated staff meetings and capturing minutes for meetings on HR related issues
• Support the HR Office during staff recruitments including ensuring the positions as requested by management are advertised on time
• Shortlisted candidates are contacted for assessment interviews, panelists contacted and provided with documentation for interviews.
• HRCA will also maintain the office supplies consumable register and assist in internal audit and spot checks.
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Human Resources or Social Sciences
• One-year work experience in a Human Resources environment a prerequisite
• Previous work experience in an NGO HR environment a distinct advantage
• Strong administrative skills and ability to handle volumes
• Excellent Computer skills
• Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
