Human Resources and Administration Officer
A local NGO is inviting suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the above-mentioned position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall HR and Administration function. In particular, the candidate will be responsible for:
• Ensuring confidentiality and security of all HR information and employee files.
• Maintaining all files in an organised manner.
• Managing office space, premise maintenance and refurbishment.
• Procurement of office furniture, stationery and general office supplies.
• Provision of logistics support for workshops and office meetings.
• Ensuring that all office equipment and assets are kept in good order.
• Management of pool vehicles.
• Ensuring that full office and premise security measures are in place at all times.
• Preparing job descriptions and overall management of the recruitment process.
• Monitoring employee performance.
• Managing employee relations through acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns and facilitating conflict resolution.
• Developing efficient staff training and development initiatives.
• Overseeing the health and safety of all employees through effective wellness and welfare initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with labour laws, regulatory authorities and company policies.
• Policy formulation and review.
• Payroll processing and management.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Human Resources Management/ Social Science
• IPMZ certification and membership
• Knowledge of labour law
• 3 years’ proven experience in a similar HR role preferably in the NGO sector.
Competencies
• Excellent written and oral English
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High ethical standards
