Job Description

This role is based in Zimbabwe and responsible for providing Human Resources Services to the assigned business units including East Africa and Southern Africa, pro-actively driving and delivering effective Human Capital solutions in order to enhance both the short and long-term business results contributing to our leadership position in the market-place. This position works in partnership with the line managers enabling their people management and development capabilities in order to build stronger and more capable teams.

The role shall implement and execute the aforementioned solutions in line with the Global and Regional Saint-Gobain Human Resources strategies. The role works closely with the Human Resources centre of excellence teams to design custom solutions for the business unit.

Employ various people related solutions that maximise employee commitment and engagement in order to ensure high employee morale, motivation, dedication, positive energy and drive towards the Business Unit mission and purpose. In addition, ensure that the relationship between employees, line management and leadership is enhanced at all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

Qualifications required to fulfil the role
o A degree in HR or business related degree

o A post-graduate HR or business related degree would be an advantage

Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills required to fulfil the role
o Minimum 5 years Human Resources value adding experience.

o Appropriate testing and interpretation qualification of the appropriate psychometric instruments

o Exceptional professional written and verbal communication skills

o Great interpersonal skills

o Ability to communicate, interact and operate at all levels of the organistion

o Ability to motivate teams

o Knowledge of relevant legislation governing business area.

o Contracting, negotiating, and facilitation skills

o Consulting skills

o Commercial and business acumen

o Influencing skills

o A strong bias towards the following Human Resources theory (Organisation Development, Change Management, Managing Culture, People Management and Development)

o Analytical skills to deliver appropriate solutions
