Job Description

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following vacant positions which have arisen within Volsec Security P/L. The candidates will be based in Harare.

Duties and Responsibilities


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Implementing the Code of Conduct and the Labour Act in handling of disciplinary matters.
● Representing the company at the National Employment council and Ministry of Labour during Conciliation and Arbitration proceedings.
● Attending to all labour matters.
● Organising and attending Works’ Council meetings and ensuring resolutions are expeditiously implemented.
● Attending to employee grievances and making sure they are resolved.
● Organizing Industrial relations trainings and briefings for Workers’ committees, Supervisors and management
● Co-ordinate the design, implementation and administration of human resource policies and activities to ensure the availability and effective utilization of human resources for meeting the company’s objectives.
● Keeping abreast with labour laws and relevant industrial agreements and provides advice to line management and staff on people management issues.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
● B Com in HR or relevant field
● Diploma in Labour Relations will be a plus
● Minimum 5 years proven experience as IR Officer, Labour Officer HR officer or other relevant position
● Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
● Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HR systems is a plus.
