Job Description

We are looking for a highly qualified and competent candidate for the position of Human Capital Officer in the Human Resources & Administration department. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective human resources services to support the organisation's people agenda. This includes recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, employment contracts management, and
regulatory compliance. The role ensures HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently, providing first-line advice and support to employees and managers, and enabling a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Job Functions:
• Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for contract and permanent employees.
• Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation programs.
• Maintain up-to-date employee records and HR information systems.
• Assist in the development, review and implementation of Human Resource Policies and Procedures.
• Ensuring that employment contracts are valid and up to date.
• Ensure compliance with relevant labour laws, rules, regulations and best practices.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of performance management processes.
• Manage employee relations including grievance and disciplinary processes within the policy framework.
• Consolidating payroll inputs and liaising with Payroll to ensure accurate salary processing.
• Coordinate training and development activities based on identified needs.
• Support employee engagement, wellness, and welfare programs.
• Fostering a harmonious Industrial Relations climate within the organisation.
• Administer employee benefits including pensions, medical aid, etc.
Prepare and submit HR reports and metrics to relevant stakeholders for decision making.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements of the Job:
The successful candidate for this position should meet the following criteria:
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences or related field.
• 5 years of experience in Human Resources management with af least 3 years as an HR Officer.
• Knowledge of Zimbabwean labour laws and NEC frameworks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
• Good HR Analytics knowledge.
• Familiarity with HRIS e.g. SuccessFactors, Sage VIP Premier
• Highly computer literate with exceptional skills in EXCEL, POWERPOINT, MS365.
