POSITION DESCRIPTION;
An opportunity has arisen within Nyatsime College for suitably qualified persons to fill in the position of Hostel Aide. The successful incumbent will be is responsible for the general cleanliness of students, rooms and takes general care of the students.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Ensures that the hostels and surroundings are kept clean at all times.
• Cuts grass throughout the hostel area.
• Reports all breakages and faults to the infrastructure as a result of natural wear or tear.
• Reports all cases of vandalism by students.
• Grows flowers, maintains gardens and lawns.
• Assists/ directs all contractors engaged in repair work in the hostel.
• Conducts unskilled repair work to the infrastructure including block pipes, etc.
• Carries out painting for purposes of the beautification of hostel and hostel area
• To do any other duties assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
• 5 “O” Levels.
• Previous work experience in a similar role.
• Methodical and organized and able to work on own initiative.
