Job Description

In collaboration with Centre for Sexual Health and HIV AIDS Research Zimbabwe (CeSHHAR), successful candidates will work in a study that aims to develop, pilot, and evaluate programs where COVID-19 provider-delivered testing and self-testing with rapid antigen tests is integrated with HIV and sexual & reproductive health services. Reporting to the Health Economist, the Research Assistants will mainly be responsible for conducting exit interviews among clients who have accessed COVID-19 testing in order to assess user costs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifies eligible clients who have tested for COVID-19, obtains informed consent, and
conducts client cost exit interviews.
• Identifies eligible health providers of COVID-19 testing, obtains informed consent, and
conducts time and motion observations.
• Maintains high quality data collection and protection standards in line with good clinical
practice guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• A first degree in any relevant Health/Social Science degree.
• At least 1-year relevant work experience.
• Experience conducting survey research in a reproductive health environment (experience in economic costing studies an added advantage).
• Fluency in local languages required (experience in both Shona and Ndebele an added advantage).
• Current and valid certificate in Good Clinical Practice and Ethics is an added advantage.
